How to make Credit with Amber energy

We recently got a home battery, and at the moment it seems the best energy deals are with Globird, AGL, or Amber. We went with Amber, and to tell you the truth despite all the hype, it’s hard to break even on electricity usage alone, but one thing that does help are the referral credits you get!

On our last bill we came out $59 refund, mainly due to referral credits!

How to get your own code

  1. Firstly, you need to use someone else’s referral code yourself when you sign up. This will give you your first $10 off per month.
  2. After you are signed up, go to your ‘settings’ on your Amber app then to ‘Claim my Code’ and you’ll get your own code that you can share. Share it in the comments on this post below, so that others can use it. When you click and copy you’ll get a link this this:
    mates.amber.com.au/7PVWBLJL?utm_source=amber&utm_medium=app&utm_campaign=AE537_Multi_Traffic_Generic&utm_term=&utm_content=referral_share_link

That’s the code you need to share to give yourself and others the discount

How to share your code

A great place to post your code is Ozbargain on this thread.
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/907837

It randomly gives people a code and if you add your code it will be added to the codes that Ozbargain gives to people.

Another great place to post your discount code is on the reddit thread called ReferralCodesAUS.

Coupon Sites

For some people this is a real money spinner

For example, this site, wethrift, if their stats below are legitimate, just raked in $17,210 in the last month alone with their code! But that means Amber customers missed out on the discounts. So don’t use a site like wethrift where one site gets all the credit. Find a code from an existing Amber customer!

  1. Here’s my Amber Energy Mates Rates code to get this started. When you sign up post your own code below. If you are looking for a code to use, scroll to the ‘newest’ comment and grab that code.
