We had a ‘Men and Machines’ night last week – surprisingly easy to organise, a surprising number of cars and blokes that came out of the woodwork for the event. Great night. About 60 guests, plus 60 church blokes.
My life scattered around the web – family, technology, church – a bit of everything.

Wayne. I think I need to talk to you about what you did/how you did it/ any tricks for young players.
I work in carsy/biksy spot… and think something like this might fly

It was easier than I thought, we just put out an add for cars, and let anyone bring them. We downplayed the alcohol a bit more than a normal Men’s event due to it being at TAFE. So some people may have bought beer but I encouraged church blokes not to which is unusual for an outreach event. Keep it simple. We did 1/2 hr to 45 min mingle round cars at start. 10 min for interviews about car stuff. Pit stop competition. Dinner. Interview then gospel talk and dessert.
