I use the John Glynns method for Western Plains Christian Convention with a snare mic and kick mic.

Went to see Billy Joel at the Acer Arena on 17th November, 2006. Musically it was great, lots of energy, and we had good seats right up close, but it was quite sad to see what a shell of a man Billy Joel was, or at least he was that night. He ran straight through all his songs, without hardly a comment at all. There was certainly no reflection of why he wrote any songs, the only exception was honesty where he made a joke about his ex-wives and he introduced it as a lie. He has some very profound lyrics (and so it goes etc) which seem to come from his heart, but there wasn’t much of this at the concert. I guess I was expecting a more mature performer, but he looked as if he was trying to be a young rocker. I felt sorry for him.
